The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike has come under fire from a group operating under the PDP Frontiers for Change and Progress, which claims that Wike is the true traitor and mastermind behind the party’s current turmoil.

The group accused the minister of playing to the gallery and standing truth in his head, and they encouraged him to honorably leave the PDP rather than remain and cause confusion.

The group was responding to Wike’s claim that Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde and his colleague Peter Mbah of Enugu State were traitors and the masterminds behind the party’s lengthy problem.

According to ZINGTIE, Wike declared in a forceful statement on Sunday that he would not participate in any “gentleman agreements” about the resolution of the party’s leadership disputes and that he would battle to the end.

According to the statement, Wike accused Makinde and Mbah of breaking a supposedly agreed agreement with important players, making it impossible to resolve the party’s dilemma.

The former governor of Rivers State stated that the parties had previously decided to keep Senator Samuel Anyanwu as the PDP’s national secretary and to drop all lawsuits against the Rivers emergency rule. He accused Makinde and Mbah of breaking these agreements.

In a quick response, the PDP support group, however, charged Wike with being half-witted and launching a smear campaign to blackmail Mbah and Makinde.

National Coordinator of the group, Emeka Yellow Ikpegbu said he was shocked that Wike, who he claimed had been the APC mole in the PDP, could accuse sincere and devoted stakeholders of the same things he has done.

Ikpegbu claims that the destabilizing forces working to bring down the PDP are Wike and his bootlickers, who are dragging the party’s leadership in some states.

”Instead of masquerading as a peace maker while he is the one igniting the fire, Wike should better leave PDP.

“Wike should stop pretending. We know his spirit has since left PDP after sabotaging the party in 2023. Now is the time to completely pull out of the party, and not just pulling out of the so-called gentleman agreement. We want him to also pull out of the PDP He has given us enough discomfort,” Ikpegbu said.
