Zamfara: PDP speaks about sponsoring thugs to attack APC members

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chapter in Zamfara State has refuted allegations that it provided funding for thugs to attack members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), the main opposition party, on Saturday, February 15, 2025.

The party urged the APC to persuade the people of Zamfara that their accusation is accurate and challenged them to show that the state’s ruling party was accountable.

In a WhatsApp message in response to questions regarding the APC’s claim, PDP Publicity Secretary Haliru Andi stated that the APC must establish its claim beyond a reasonable doubt by disclosing the identities of the PDP members who allegedly sponsored the attack and presenting proof that the attackers were members of the PDP.

He cautioned the people against believing any claims made by the state’s APC until they were validated by a court of law.

The APC was urged by the PDP to urge its state leadership and its representative in the House of Representatives, Abdulmalik Zubairu, to always uphold the law after he organized an unlawful assembly in Bungudu town.

The PDP promised Zamfara State’s law-abiding inhabitants that it would cooperate with security forces to hold Abdulmalik Zubairu accountable for any violations of the law that might arise from the unlawful gathering that he and his hired mob planned.

It was as a reminder to the APC that the 2027 political campaigns are not yet ready, therefore
pleaded with them to let the Zamfara people live in harmony.
