2027: Delta State PDP Chairman reveals what they will to do APC NASS members

Chief Solomon Arenyeka, the Delta State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has promised to remove lawmakers from the Delta central federal district in 2027.

He made this statement at the Ughelli North/Ughelli South/Udu Federal Constituency Forum’s opening ceremony, which took place in Ughelli on Saturday.

He commended the residents of the Ughelli/Udu Federal Constituency for uniting to secure the PDP’s triumph in 2027, when federal MPs from the All Progressive Congress (APC) will step out.

He asserted that Delta South residents and those in all other sections of the state were steadfastly dedicated to Governor Oborevwori’s reelection in 2027 and that he had done a good job in the state’s development.

In his speech, Delta State Deputy Governor Sir Monday Onyeme stated that the state’s political power dynamics have long been shaped by the zoning of political offices, especially the Office of the Governor.

Zoning, according to Onyeme, is still crucial to Delta’s political stability and the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) ongoing domination in the state as the 2027 elections get near.

The Deputy Governor underlined that by guaranteeing a fair and equal allocation of political positions among the state’s various ethnic groups, the zoning system strengthened the PDP’s base.

“Delta is a very peaceful state and since 1999, we were the first to embrace governorship rotation and it has been working very well for us.

“All previous Governors did eight years and this time around, it will not be different because Governor Oborevwori ‘dey work and Deltans dey see am’”, he stated.

The Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Hon. Emomotimi Guwor, in his remarks at the event, said, “what we have done today is to show that the Federal Constituency stands united to return Governor Oborevwori to Government House in 2027.

“We are all united and I can assure you that the PDP will win the entire eight local government areas in Delta Central. Governor Oborevwori would win again with the massive support of Deltans.”
