2027: Dickson Holds Crucial Meeting in Imo, Reveals What Comes Next

National leader of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, Seriake Dickson, on Saturday held a meeting with the party’s candidates and other stakeholders in Imo State.

Dickson disclosed the development in a statement shared on his verified X handle on Saturday.

The former Bayelsa State governor described the engagement as “very fruitful.”

He called on party members to build on the outcome of the initial meeting by organising further engagements aimed at achieving complete unity within the party.

Dickson also advocated comprehensive reconciliation that would involve all stakeholders across the party.

He further disclosed that the NDC would soon deploy a team of senior party officials to Imo State to support the ongoing reconciliation process.

The move is part of efforts to strengthen unity and resolve differences among party stakeholders ahead of the 2027 general elections.

“This evening, I held a consultative/reconciliation meeting with leaders, candidates and stakeholders of the NDC in Imo State, led by His Excellency, Chief Achike Udenwa.

“We had a very fruitful meeting, and they all agreed to work together for the victory of all candidates of our party, from top to bottom.

“We also urged all candidates and party leaders to be instruments of reconciliation.

“I thank Chief Udenwa for the leadership he is providing as State Leader in Imo and urge him to do more with the support of the National Leadership of the party,” Dickson tweeted.
