Comrade Kabiru Ibrahim Dallah, a well-known supporter of Nasarawa State’s transition to an indigenous governor in 2027, has publicly apologized to Aliyu Bello (Sardauna Adogi), the state’s All Progressives Congress (APC) chairman, for a recent false accusation against him.

Just one day after being released from the Department of State Services’ (DSS) detention, Dallah apologized on Monday during a courtesy visit to the APC State Secretariat in Lafia.

More than a week ago, the activist accused Dr. Bello of excluding Comrade Abdullahi Ahmad Mohammed, the APC youth leader, and denying him access to Governor Abdullahi Sule.

Since then, he has taken back the statement, acknowledging that it was inappropriate and inaccurate.

“I now understand that my statement constituted an incursion into his personal and party affairs, especially as I am not a member of the APC,” Dallah stated in an earlier Facebook post.

He explained that although the remark was made in what he said was “good faith and in the spirit of friendship,” it was regretful since it distorted the true circumstances.

Dallah also reaffirmed his support for the APC’s leadership and internal procedures by promising to refrain from meddling in the party’s internal affairs going ahead.

Although the APC has not released a formal statement on the subject, party secretariat sources characterized the apology and visit as “a step toward reconciliation and mutual respect.”
