2027: Peter Obi Reveals Fresh Details About His Support Base in the North

The 2027 presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, Peter Obi, has declared that he is the only contender celebrated across Northern Nigeria.

Obi made the assertion on Thursday while responding to questions during an interview on Arise Television’s Morning Show.

He also presented his strategic approach to tackling poverty and economic challenges confronting the Northern region.

According to Obi, his proposed strategy would prioritise corruption-free leadership and the effective use of national resources, with particular emphasis on substantial investment in agriculture.

“If there’s one presidential candidate who the North celebrates, it’s me.

“This is because I know the problems that are happening in the North. I will deal with the issue of poverty the way it has not been dealt with before and in a non-corrupt way.

“Another asset I will look into is agriculture. We’ll invest in it. We’ll give the subsidy in it. We will ensure that we take all the almajiris back to education and support them in different areas.”
