22-year-old Lady that worked as a bricklayer to pay her school fees finally becomes successful, bags degree from university

The remarkable 22-year-old Sharon Mbabazi, who supported her study by working as a bricklayer and brickmaker, has graduated from Muteesa I Royal University in Masaka, Uganda, demonstrating her perseverance and diligence.

At five years old, Sharon Mbabazi lost her mother, and she had to deal with a lot of hardships. She overcame her obstacles and began producing bricks to support herself.

“My village mates mocked me for being home because of school fees default, they used to call us poor because of our nearly falling house made out of soil,” she narrated.

“These made me work even harder just to show them that I can change my life and that of my family too. And indeed it happened. People could take my bricks and fail to pay me. But I looked at my background and swore never to give up,” she added.

Sharon Mbabazi received her mass communication bachelor’s degree.

Sharon’s classmate Aaron Mbwali shared her tale on social media, describing her as a diligent worker who is constantly open to trying new things.

“Mbabazi was so hardworking, she has graduated to because of her desire for education. She has been a Challenger to us and always wanted to try out new things. She didn’t mind about those who bullied her over brick laying,” he said.

At last, Sharon Mbabazi made the decision to launch her own company by opening a furniture store. She now hires individuals and counsels the next generation to pursue their aspirations with perseverance and hard work.
