While Abdulkarim, a farmer, was working on his farm in the Kubau Local Government Area of Kaduna State, armed bandits attacked him and amputated his hand, leaving him with severe injuries.
Security analyst Bakatsine wrote in a post on X on Monday: “On Friday evening, armed bandits amputated the hand of a farmer, Abdulkarim, and severely injured him in Kubau LGA of Kaduna State.
“The attackers reportedly found him working on his dry-season farm when they carried out the assault. Sources say the violence was triggered after he confronted them.
“How long will farmers continue to pay the price for insecurity in their own fields?”
The incident has not yet received a comment from authorities.
