According to information released by the Federal Government, 128 Nigerians profited from a 50% reduction in transportation costs during the Yuletide.
This was revealed on Monday by Olujimi Oyetomi, the Ministry of Transportation’s Director of Press and Public Relations.
He said that the Ministry’s Situation Room Monitoring Team saw that 128 people who were traveling from Abuja to northern locations, like as Gombe, Bauchi, Yola, and Maiduguri, took advantage of the Christmas Day transportation fee concession.
“Implementing the directive of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for 50% discount on transport fares for Nigerians during the yuletide got a serious boost especially as one hundred and twenty-eight travellers from Abuja, who were bound for destinations in the North – Gombe, Bauchi, Yola and Maiduguri were taken to their destinations paying only half of the transport fares charged for each of their destinations, as monitored by Federal Ministry of Transportation Situation Room Monitoring Team on Christmas Day,” he said.
Remember when President Bola Ahmed Tinubu authorized a 50% interstate luxury bus discount just a week ago?
GIG (God is Good), Chisco Transport, Young Shall Grow, God Bless Ezenwata, and Area Motor were all listed by the government as partnering transportation companies.
