President Bola Tinubu has reassured all Nigerians that the measures of his administration will provide relief.

President Tinubu said this while giving a speech at the Ansar-Ud-Deen Central Mosque in Surulere, Lagos, according to a statement released by the presidential spokeswoman, Ajuri Ngelale, on Friday.

He claims that his government’s economic policies are intended to provide a solid and safe basis for Nigerians now and in the future.

President Tinubu, who is currently on a brief Christmas break in Lagos State, reiterated his commitment to the welfare of all citizens. He said that efforts to lessen the burden of Nigerians this holiday season, including the payment of backlog allowances to N-Power beneficiaries and a recent 50% nationwide reduction in interstate land transportation fares, are just two examples of the reliefs that have been made. Much more is anticipated in the coming year.

“We are committed to enthroning a better society for our citizens, irrespective of ethnic, religious, or geographical differences. The policies already in place are expected to bring great succour to our people. We know their pains and are addressing them holistically,” he said.

According to Zingtie, in honor of the Yuletide festival, the Nigerian government announced a 50% reduction in transportation costs for specific routes.

This development coincides with the government’s Thursday list of accomplishments for 2023.
