Even though music brought her fame, singer Rihanna has stated that it wasn’t God’s intention for her.
The billionaire businesswoman gave a speech on Thursday at the Fenty Beauty brand launch in Barbados, where she is from.
“Music was the thing that got the attention, but God had other plans for me, and I was able to create in ways that were very sincere, genuine, organic and authentic to the things that I love,” she said.
A few years ago, when Rihanna’s net worth surpassed $1 billion, Forbes branded her a billionaire.
The majority of her wealth was derived from the profits of her beauty brand, Fenty Beauty.
Her net worth also included earnings from tours and album sales.
