Two individuals were killed by an Israeli drone strike on a car near the West Bank village of Qabatiya, according to the Palestinian health ministry on Friday.

According to reports, Israel is on day four of a massive operation in the neighboring city of Jenin that was started following the Gaza truce.

The Israeli military claimed that an airstrike had struck a car that contained a terrorist cell, but it provided no other information.

Two days after a ceasefire in the battle with Hamas in the Gaza Strip went into effect, the IDF has been conducting a significant operation in Jenin to crack down on Palestinian militant groups it claims are supported by Iran.

According to Palestinian health officials, the operation has killed at least 12 Palestinians, including two that were allegedly slain by Hamas’ military wing.

Additionally, the Israeli military reported that it had confiscated weapons and arrested 20 wanted persons.

According to Thameen Al-Kheetan, spokesperson for the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, the Jenin operation aroused severe concerns about the use of unnecessary or disproportionate force, and he expressed his great worry about the use of unlawful fatal force.

The first phase of a U.S.-backed truce in Gaza has begun, with fighting halting for six weeks.

According to Israeli sources, the Jenin operation is a component of a multifront conflict against a coalition of Iranian-backed organizations in Yemen, southern Lebanon, and the West Bank.
