Bala Mohammed, the governor of Bauchi State, says that he and other PDP members are dedicated to avoiding embarrassing the party.

During Thursday’s PDP North-East Zonal Caucus meeting in Bauchi, the governor made this declaration.

According to Mohammed, the zone has been determined to be the least divided and hostile, and party leaders from the area have met with members of the reconciliation committee established by the National Working Committee, or NWC.

According to Mohammed, the PDP governors’ chairman, the meeting concluded that the zone was tightly knit in terms of unity and focus, with members striving to avoid embarrassing the party.

“We bring different projects and programmes that will have direct bearing on the aspirations of our people.

“We are loyal to the zone and loyal to our various chapters, including those chapters that don’t have a governor, and we will continue to do that,” he said.

Olagunsoye Oyinlola, the committee’s chairman, stated that the party was prepared to tackle its issues in order to effectively reposition itself so that it might gain control in the general election of 2027.

Given the ongoing issues afflicting the party, Adamawa Governor Ahmadu Fintiri characterised the reconciliation committee as appropriate.

He urged disgruntled members to attend the roundtable in order to make amends and move on, arguing that the party could only recover and regain its leadership position through teamwork.
