Siminalayi Fubara, the governor of Rivers State, has stated his belief that nothing will prevent him from winning the 2027 governorship election should he choose to run for a second term.

The statement was made by Governor Fubara on Tuesday during a meeting with a group of traditional leaders and leaders from the three LGAs that comprise Rivers State’s Kalabari Ethnic Nationality.

The group praised the governor’s leadership abilities and commitment to infrastructure development, especially the ₦200 billion Trans-Kalabari Road Project, which is presently being built, and supported his reelection.

Governor Fubara responded by restating that his administration is still dedicated to providing Rivers State residents with real progress, stressing that service and impact are more important than time spent in office.
