Dangote Refinery has announced a fresh reduction in the prices of Premium Motor Spirit, PMS, commonly known as petrol, and Automotive Gas Oil, AGO, also referred to as diesel, across the country.

The 700,000-barrel-per-day refinery on Wednesday lowered its ex-depot petrol price to N1,165 per litre from the previous N1,215 per litre, while the price of diesel was reduced to N1,570 per litre from N1,650 per litre.

The latest adjustment represents a reduction of N50 per litre for petrol and N80 per litre for diesel.

The new price cuts by Dangote Refinery are expected to put downward pressure on retail fuel prices at filling stations nationwide.
