An old video showing former Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha celebrating alongside the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has resurfaced on social media following a court ruling disqualifying Governor Hope Uzodinma as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the 2027 Imo West Senatorial District election.
ZINGTIE reports that the Federal High Court on Thursday removed Uzodinma as the APC candidate and directed the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to substitute his name with that of Okorocha.
The court ruled that Okorocha had won the APC primary election held in May 2026.
The judgment has triggered reactions across social media platforms, with some Nigerians speculating about the possible involvement of influential political figures in the development.
In the aftermath of the ruling, users on platforms including X and Facebook circulated an old video showing Wike and Okorocha sharing a celebratory moment.
The footage has since generated conversations about the political relationship between Okorocha and Wike, who previously served as governor of Rivers State.
It will be recalled that Wike and Uzodinma recently had a disagreement after the Imo governor opposed the Rainbow Coalition.
