The partnership was formally sealed at a Memorandum of Understanding signing ceremony held at Pinnah Foods’ head office in Yaba, Lagos. During the event, the company pledged its long-term commitment to creating meaningful social impact through financial support and direct engagement. This initiative is a key component of Pinnah Foods’ corporate social responsibility strategy, which prioritizes employee volunteering and active participation in improving children’s welfare.
According to the Managing Director of Pinnah Foods, Shade Ogunleye, “This partnership is more than just a collaboration—it is a heartfelt commitment. At Pinnah Foods, we believe in making a real difference in children’s lives. By working with The Destiny Trust, we aim to provide a safe environment and quality education for every Nigerian child in need.”
As part of the partnership, Pinnah Foods will cover the annual rent and maintenance of a 30-bed residential learning centre. Additionally, the company will provide essential school supplies for 100 children under The Destiny Trust’s School Enrolment and Back-to-School Initiative.
The Chief Executive Officer of The Destiny Trust, Athina Jeje, highlighted the importance of collective responsibility in securing a better future for vulnerable children. “Children deserve to experience childhood—to be in school, to be safe, to have fun, and to grow into responsible adults who contribute positively to society. The government alone cannot do it all, and this partnership demonstrates how the private sector can make a lasting impact,” Jeje said.
Foluso Ogunleye, Chief Executive Officer of Pinnah Foods Limited, echoed this sentiment, reaffirming the company’s belief that true success goes beyond business performance. “This partnership represents more than just a collaboration; it is a commitment to ensuring that more children have access to education, nourishment, and the support they need to thrive. At Pinnah Foods Ltd., we measure success not only by financial growth but also by the positive impact we bring to people’s lives.”
Ogunleye added, “As Pinnah Foods and The Destiny Trust embark on this journey, their joint efforts aim to create a future where every child has the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed in a supportive and nurturing environment.”
