Remember Amaka? The nurse who was deserted by her groom and died in a terrible accident a month before her wedding? Amaka Ofodile died after spending seven arduous years confined to a hospital bed.

After battling terrible injuries incurred in a horrible accident, Amaka, a fighter, makeup artist, and nurse, took her last breath this Sunday. May God grant her eternal rest, where she will never again experience anguish, suffering, or treachery.

The Tragic Turn: Amaka went to Port Harcourt for makeup work in May 2018. Her bus was engaged in a horrific crash near Mgbidi on the way back. In an instant, seventeen persons perished. Amaka was the only one who survived, however she was permanently bedridden due to a spinal cord damage.

A Stolen Future Amaka was getting married in June 2018.

The twins she was expecting were killed in the collision.

In order to accompany her fiancé overseas, she had been studying German.

In one devastating moment, she lost all she had ever dreamed of.

The Greatest Betrayal
Amaka’s best friend, who was also selected as her primary bridesmaid, married her fiancé just four months after her injury. When she most needed him, the man who had promised to love and support her turned his back on her.

Amaka never stopped smiling in her videos, even when she was in unspeakable suffering. She didn’t waver in her faith. Her will was unbreakable. Despite facing the most difficult circumstances, she inspired people with her grace and fortitude.
