A 20-year-old Delta State mother whose child was taken by Joy Temitope said that after drinking the drink Temitope handed her, she started to feel drowsy and when she woke up, she was unable to locate her child.

According to what the baby’s mother reported, “I began to feel sleepy after taking the drink. That was how I slept off, and when I woke up, I could not find my baby.”

The 20-year-old mother recounted how she met Joy Temitope in the market, who mentioned that she wanted to do business with her and asked her to visit her home. Temitope handed her a drink on the way to her house, and she began to feel drowsy.

Temitope advised her to keep her kids at her church member’s locked store since they weren’t at home.

She fell asleep that way, and her baby was gone when she woke up.

After the mother called the police, an inquiry was conducted. After three months, the baby was saved and brought back to its mother.

When asked why she took the baby, Joy Temitope said that she did so because she had no children around her because her children were already adults and on the verge of being admitted to the institution.
