Veteran Nigerian artist Innocent Ujah Idibia, widely known as 2Face or 2Baba, has shared insights into the challenges he faced in his marriage to his now-estranged wife, Annie Macaulay.
He described the union as being akin to “living in bondage.”
The music icon also alleged that he faced threats to his life during the course of the marriage.
These revelations were made during a preview clip from an upcoming episode of the +234 Mzansi Podcast, hosted by Nigerian comedians Nedu and Acapella, along with South African media figure Kifilwe.
“This thing wey dem call ‘living in bondage’ is real. There were some people who were ready to kill me,” he said while responding to a question about his failed marriage to Annie.
2Baba and Annie tied the knot in May 2012 and share two daughters, Isabella and Olivia.
On January 26, 2025, the singer made headlines after announcing their separation through a controversial post on his social media page.
Not long afterward, he began showcasing his new partner, Natasha Osawuru, who currently serves in the Edo State House of Assembly.
