Liverpool forward Darwin Nunez is reportedly on his way out of Anfield, with the club actively pursuing replacements in the summer transfer window.
According to transfer expert David Ornstein, securing a new centre-forward has become a top priority for the Merseyside club.
Liverpool have identified Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak and Frankfurt’s Hugo Ekitike as potential targets, as discussions surrounding Nunez’s departure are expected to progress in the coming weeks.
Nunez joined Liverpool from Benfica in 2022 in a deal worth €85 million.
Despite flashes of brilliance, the Uruguayan striker has struggled for consistency during his time in the Premier League.
In 95 league appearances, Nunez has registered 25 goals and 16 assists.
With new head coach Arne Slot looking to reshape the squad, Liverpool are willing to invest in a new striker provided Nunez is sold first.
