A 48-year-old educator named Mr. Ezekiel Akano was discovered dead in one of the classrooms at King’s College on Lagos Island under suspicious circumstances.

Police sources claim that the event occurred on Saturday night and that Mr. Oguniyi Ayodele, the vice principal of the institution, reported it to the Lagos State Police Command at approximately 7:40 p.m.

He clarified that after discovering Akano’s death on the grounds of the school at No. 3, Catholic Mission Street, staff members sounded the alarm.

Detectives arrived on the scene right once, secured the area, and performed a preliminary investigation. Photographs were taken, and preliminary findings showed that the deceased had no obvious wounds or evidence of foul play.

After being transported to Lagos Island Hospital in Odan, the late Mr. Akano, who was from Oyo State, was declared dead by a physician upon his arrival.

For preservation and an autopsy to determine the precise cause of death, his remains have been placed in the hospital morgue.

The public has been reassured by the police that a thorough investigation is being conducted to ascertain the circumstances of the unfortunate event.
