Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan of Kogi Central has been chastised by Senator Titus Zam of Benue North-West for her ongoing disagreement with Senate President Godswill Akpabio.

The ZINGTIE learned that earlier this week, Zam challenged Akpoti-Uduaghan on the Northern Senators Forum WhatsApp group, accusing her of seeking unnecessary attention.

According to Sahara Reporters, In the group chat, he wrote, “Why do you wish to be in the news for the wrong reason?

“I thought by now you would be sober and engaging instead of resorting to needless altercations with the system.

“Recall that the Senate president administered the oath of office to you as the head of the institution you belong to.

“Calm down; you can’t subdue this institution.”

Instead of starting new arguments, the Benue senator advised his Kogi counterpart to be more calm and helpful.

According to ZINGTIE, Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan’s March-started, six-month suspension officially ended in September. However, her reinstatement is still pending until the courts reach a decision, according to a letter written by Dr. Yahaya Danzaria, Acting Clerk to the National Assembly, and dated September 4.

On August 28, Akpoti-Uduaghan had already sent a letter to the Clerk informing the Senate that her suspension was coming to an end.
