At the Apapa seaport in Lagos, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, claims to have stopped a ship that was transporting twenty kilograms of cocaine.

This was revealed in a statement released on Friday by the agency’s spokesperson, Femi Babafemi.

Babafemi claims that the ship, MV Nord Bosporus, registered 9760110, came from Santos, Brazil.

He added that on Sunday, November 16, 2025, NDLEA officers found the class A drug hidden beneath the ship’s cargo.

Captain Quino Eugene Corpus, the ship’s master, and 19 other Filipino crew members were detained pending an inquiry, according to the NDLEA spokeswoman.

According to Babafemi, the agency requested the arrest of the ship and her crew by filing an ex-parte application in suit number FHC/L/MISC/1306/25 before Justice Musa Kakaki of the Federal High Court, Lagos.
