The National Sports Commission, NSC, and the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, have established a welfare committee for the Super Falcons ahead of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, ZINGTIE reports.
The committee has been assigned the responsibility of ensuring the team enjoys a smooth and successful campaign during the continental tournament.
Executive board member of the NFF, Aisha Falode, will head the committee, while Ruth David has been appointed as the secretary.
Other members of the committee include Rt. Hon. Margaret Icheen, Babagana Kalli, Emeka Iyama, Aderonke Tinuoye and former Super Falcons media officer, Tobechukwu Oluchi.
The Super Falcons have been placed in Group C of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations alongside Malawi, Zambia and Egypt.
Justine Madugu’s side will begin their campaign against tournament debutants Malawi at the Larbi Zaouli Stadium in Casablanca on Tuesday, July 28.
The 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations will take place in Morocco from July 26 to August 16, 2026.
The four teams that reach the semi-finals will earn Africa’s tickets to the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
