Former Manchester United defender Patrice Evra has given his prediction on how many more years Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo could continue playing professional football.
Evra and Ronaldo previously shared the pitch as teammates during their successful spells together at Manchester United.
The former France international, now 45, brought his own professional playing career to an end in 2019.
Ronaldo, 41, has continued his career at the highest level and is preparing for another season with Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr following his participation in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Evra believes the veteran forward still has more years ahead of him in professional football.
Speaking to Heavy Sports, Evra said, “I never played with anybody else who was more professional than Cristiano. Training was at 10 a.m., and this guy was showing up at 8 a.m., practicing everything.
“I feel that Cristiano has a nice disease. He’s addicted to working hard and to pushing himself.
“And that is why I am not surprised by his longevity. He can still play for another one or two years, and I wouldn’t be surprised.”
