In response to the issue surrounding former employee Stephen Ifeanyichukwu Ejezie, who surreptitiously captured more than 400 films of his naked coworkers in the washroom, Access Bank has taken action.
Former Access Bank quality assurance specialist Stephen Ifeanyichukwu Ejezie surreptitiously recorded hundreds of video clips of his coworkers in the restrooms at the bank’s contact center in Oniru, Lagos State, according to TheNewsGuru. He was apprehended on Wednesday at 1:30 a.m. in the women’s restroom.
Although the bank quickly terminated Ejezie’s job, some impacted colleagues have allegedly expressed concerns about their chances of seeking justice after the staff was however released.
In a statement signed by the bank’s management, Access Bank confirmed that the event had been reported to the proper authorities and that an investigation is continuing.
The bank also revealed that, following the termination of a staff member who was accused of surreptitiously filming coworkers in the bank’s restrooms, it is completely assisting law enforcement.
“We uphold a zero-tolerance policy towards harassment and any form of privacy violation,” the statement read.
“We are fully cooperating with the authorities and engaging with affected employees to provide all necessary support.”
The bank emphasized that the safety, dignity, and well-being of its workers and clients continue to be its top priorities and asked the public to rely on updates provided through its official communication channels.
However, Access Bank assured stakeholders that investigations are still ongoing and thanked them for their cooperation and concern.
