AFCON 2023: Super Eagles coach Peseiro suggests how Nigeria can get to final

The head coach of the Super Eagles, Jose Peseiro, has proposed two routes for his team to reach the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, or AFCON, final in Cote d’Ivoire.

To go to the AFCON final, Peseiro stated in a tweet sent out on Saturday night from his X account that the Super Eagles players must “keep their feet on the ground and stay focused.”

“Our players were once again extraordinary. Many congratulations,” the Portuguese tweeted.

“We are in the semi-finals. Keep our feet on the ground; stay focused to conquer our place in the final.”

Nigeria defeated Angola in the quarterfinal to attend the AFCON semi-final on Friday.

On Wednesday, Peseiro’s team will play the victor of the match between Cape Verde and South Africa in the final four.
