Akeredolu’s death: Amotekun drops official statement

The late Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, the previous governor of the state, was greatly missed by the nation as a whole and by the commander of the Ondo State Security Network Agency, also known as Amotekun Corps, Akogun Adetunji Adeleye.

The late governor’s special security advisor praised Akeredolu as a bold, brave, and daring leader who never wavered in his dedication to safeguarding the Southwest’s safety and security.

Adeleye maintained that it is impossible to measure the immense contribution that Akeredolu made by founding the Amotekun Corps.

He stated that Akeredolu was a man of unmatched integrity, a tenacious defender of justice, and a bravery icon who gave his all in defense of his people.

“The late Akeredolu proved to be a special being who has written his name in gold as a man who rallied around his people in the face of adversity.

“A courageous fighter. A god-fearing statesman and an advocate for democratic principles who left when he was needed most,” he said.
