APC chieftain mocks Atiku, reveals hidden details of his presidential ambition

Ayekooto Akindele, a leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has made fun of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar for reportedly rejecting Peter Obi as his running partner for president.

According to Akindele, Atiku is frantically seeking a running partner from the southern region of Nigeria.

In what appears like a farce, Akindele said Atiku’s options are now reduced to Timi Frank, Bode George, Debo Ologbondiyan, Rotimi Amaechi, and Tom Ikimi.

Posting on Facebook, he wrote: “With the high possibility of Obi’s refusal, Atiku is desperately shopping for a southern running mate and since he cannot get any SS governor to accept and to fund him, his options are limited to Timi Frank, AdeDancer, Bode George, Ologbondiyan, Amaechi or Tom Ikimi.”

This comes as Obi said his role in the opposition coalition was to fight against terrible government, hunger, and poverty, not personal political ambition.

He said this in response to rumors that he and Atiku had reached an arrangement for Atiku to be his running partner in 2027.

The report stated that Atiku had consented to serve for a single term and was prepared to put the agreement in writing.
