Arsenal make surprise jersey-number changes ahead of 2026/27 campaign

Arsenal have announced their official squad numbers for the 2026/27 Premier League season, which gets underway this weekend.

The Gunners confirmed the numbers in a post published on the club’s official website as Mikel Arteta’s team prepares for the new campaign.

New signing Bruno Guimaraes, who joined Arsenal from Newcastle United, has been handed the number 39 shirt.

Christos Tzolis will wear the number 17 jersey, which was previously occupied by Oleksandr Zinchenko.

Goalkeeper Illan Meslier has selected the number 30 shirt, last worn by Raheem Sterling during the 2024/25 season.
