Ballon d’Or 2024: Rodrygo names player who deserves to win award

The winger for Real Madrid, Rodrygo, has selected his teammate Vinicius Junior as the front-runner for this year’s Ballon d’Or.

Under Vinicius’s leadership, Real Madrid won the UEFA Champions League and La Liga last season.

The 23-year-old led the Los Blancos in goals and assists throughout all competitions.

On the other hand, Rodrygo believes Vinicius is the front-runner for the most important individual prize.

He stated to Madrid Universal (via Globoesporte): “We know that Vini is the main candidate to win it [Ballon d’Or] and I support this decision because he is my teammate.”

Rodrygo added, “It [Ballon d’Or] is not something that’s my priority, but it’s something every player dreams of.”
