Bandits kill pastor, church member in Katsina, abduct woman

A woman was kidnapped and the pastor and one member of Bege Baptist Church in Yaribori hamlet, Kafur Local Government Area, Katsina State, were killed by suspected bandits.

Mallam Samaila Gidan Taro and Reverend Emmanuel Na’allah have been recognized as the victims.

The terrible event took place on Monday evening.

In a post published on X on Tuesday, security analyst Bakatsine said that the attackers broke into the church in the middle of the night, started shooting, and then fled with an unidentified female victim.

“Yesterday night, bandits attacked Bege Baptist Church in Yaribori community, Kafur LGA, Katsina State. They killed the church pastor, Rev. Emmanuel Na’allah and a member, Mallam Samaila Gidan Taro and abducted a woman during the attack,” Bakatsine wrote.

As of this writing, authorities had not yet released an official comment regarding the incident.
