On Saturday night, suspected bandits assaulted the Bargaja hamlet in Sokoto State’s Isa Local Government Area, killing at least three persons.

Security analyst Bakatsine posted about the incident on X on Sunday.

The article claims that infamous bandit leader Bello Turji spearheaded the assault, allegedly storming the neighborhood late at night with his fighters.

Three residents were slain during the raid, and several women and children were kidnapped.

“Last night, notorious bandit leader Bello Turji led his gang to the Bargaja community in Isa LGA of Sokoto State, resulting in the deaths of three people. Several women and children were also abducted, though the exact number remains unconfirmed.

“Given the recurring attacks by Bello Turji in Sokoto communities, what strategic measures can local and federal security agencies implement to disrupt his operations and prevent further civilian casualties?,” Bakatsine asked.

The Sokoto State Government and security authorities had not released an official comment regarding the incident as of the time this article was filed.
