Benue: Governor Alia meets with the Chief of Defence Staff behind closed doors

Benue State Governor Hyacinth Alia and General Christopher Musa, the Chief of Defense Staff, are currently having a private meeting.

State government officials escorted the governor as he arrived at the Defence Headquarters at approximately 1:19 pm on Tuesday.

It was learned that the meeting’s goal might have anything to do with Benue State’s ongoing security issue.

Over two million internally displaced people, IDPs, are reportedly living in various camps throughout Benue State as a result of attacks by alleged Fulani herdsmen, according to Zingtie.

In addition, there have been a number of robbery assaults reported in the state recently, in which armed individuals have killed numerous unarmed civilians.
