China’s foreign ministry announced on Tuesday that Iran’s Foreign Minister, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, is scheduled to visit the country on Wednesday at China’s invitation.
During a routine press briefing, ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun stated that both nations will engage in discussions concerning their bilateral relationship as well as pressing international and regional matters that are of mutual interest.
Guo emphasized that the visit holds significant value in enhancing political trust between Beijing and Tehran.
This statement comes shortly after Iran’s foreign ministry revealed on Monday that its top diplomat would travel to China on Tuesday, ahead of the upcoming third round of nuclear negotiations between Tehran and Washington, set to take place on Saturday in Oman.
During a recent visit to Moscow, Araghchi told state media that Iran consistently maintains close dialogue with its allies, Russia and China, especially on nuclear-related issues.
