Popular Nigerian content creator and comedian, Carter Efe, has lost access to both his Instagram and TikTok accounts.
This incident occurred shortly after he made controversial remarks about Afrobeat star Wizkid during a TikTok live broadcast.
During the live session on Tuesday, Carter Efe had labeled Wizkid as arrogant and used derogatory language to describe him.
“If Wizkid calls me my G, that means Lion don get belle. E no fit happen. That boy too get pride, idiot,” he said.
In response, Wizkid’s loyal fanbase, known as Wizkid FC, began urging others to report Carter Efe’s social media accounts, including those on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
Taking to X on Wednesday evening, Carter Efe announced that his Instagram page, which had amassed 1.8 million followers, had been taken down—allegedly due to coordinated reports by Wizkid’s supporters.
Shortly after, in a video where he issued an apology, he revealed that his TikTok account had also been suspended.
“FC una collect my Instagram account of 1.8 million followers,” he posted.
“This is getting too much, TikTok account gone, FC una betrayed me. Abeg make una forgive me Wizkid FC. Wizkid abeg no vexxx help me beg FC abeggggg I’m in severe pain.”
