The Federal Government has released a fresh update regarding the ongoing recruitment exercise being conducted by the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB).

The latest information was disclosed in a statement issued on Friday by Okeh Juliet, Head of Press to the Secretary of the Board.

In the statement, the Board urged applicants to ignore unofficial messages and directives concerning dress codes and documentation requirements ahead of the forthcoming medical screening exercise.

According to the Board, candidates are not required to follow any specific dress code for the medical screening scheduled to commence on Sunday, June 22, 2026.

The agency emphasized that applicants seeking employment into the Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Federal Fire Service (FFS), and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) should simply appear in decent and appropriate clothing.

The Board also clarified that candidates should not bring any academic or personal credentials to the screening centres because document verification will not be part of the medical examination process.

“Any information directing candidates to wear a particular dress code or bring their credentials should be disregarded, as such directives did not emanate from the Board,” the statement read.
