Al Nassr forward Cristiano Ronaldo has enlisted a new security team following threats made against his family, with an “intimidating” bodyguard now tasked with protecting them.

Concerns over Ronaldo’s safety in Saudi Arabia have escalated after a series of alarming threats were made to him and his partner, Georgina, on social media, prompting changes to his security arrangements.

According to Malaysian news outlet NST, Ronaldo, Georgina, and their children have been living quietly in the Middle East. However, disturbing images and messages posted online have forced the five-time Ballon d’Or winner to take decisive measures to ensure their safety.

As part of a broader security strategy, Georgina has also scaled back on sharing pictures of their children on social media.
