Dele Momodu, a leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has denied that he will join the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Momodu, a two-time presidential candidate, stated in an interview on Channels TV on Wednesday that he will never join the APC, regardless of the crisis in the main opposition party.

He claimed that he could not sit in a meeting “where one man will dictate to able-bodied adults” and accused the APC’s leadership of permitting tyranny to rule.

He said, “I definitely won’t join the APC. That one is out of the question. If I wanted to join the APC, I wouldn’t be talking to you the way I am this morning.

“I cannot sit in a room where one man will dictate to able-bodied adults who have worked all their lives and say that he is the lord of the manor.”

Momodu had said on Tuesday that President Bola Tinubu could only be overthrown in 2027 by a coalition of political parties.

He added that only his body is still a member of the PDP, but his soul has already departed.
