Delta: Ned Nwoko tells Gov Oborevwori what to expect from APC in 2027

Sheriff Oborevwori, the governor of Delta State, has stated that President Bola Tinubu will remain in office till 2031. He made this statement during Archbishop Godday Iboyi of Promise Kingdom Ministry (Overflow)’s 49th birthday and 27th pastoral anniversary celebration in Sapele, Delta State.

He was represented at the event by Prince Johnson Erijo, his chief of staff, who predicted that Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s term would end in 2031.

Speaking on behalf of the governor, Erijo noted: “It is the way the terminal bus stop of our President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is going to end in 2031, that is the same way that of your son, Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, is going to end in 2031.”

The All Progressives Congress, or APC, is expected to defeat the governing Peoples Democratic Party, or PDP, in the state’s general elections in 2027, according to Ned Nwoko, the senator from Delta North’s senatorial district in the National Assembly.

Nwoko asked the governor not to consider joining the APC during a meeting with party leaders, stakeholders, and grassroots supporters in Kwale, Delta State’s Ndokwa/Ukwuani federal constituency. He made it clear that the APC would not need Oborevwori to fulfill President Bola Tinubu’s purported goal of winning Delta State in the upcoming election.

“Oborevwori wants to come to APC, but tell him to stay where he is. He will be defeated. We don’t want him in APC,” Nwoko said bluntly.

“Delta will surely become an APC state come 2027; 25 years of corrupt governance by the PDP is enough. We must take over. APC is ready to deliver better governance, and we are gaining ground every day,” Nwoko declared.
