A doctor who was transporting medications from Sokoto to kidnappers in several parts of Kwara State has been detained by the Department of State Services.

Following intelligence information concerning the kidnappers’ and their couriers’ movements, security sources revealed that the doctor was apprehended in the Jebba district of the state’s Moro Local Government.

According to the secret service, the criminal groups seem in dire need of medical attention after being shot during recent contacts with security personnel.

ZINGTIE remembers that in order to drive away bandits who had infiltrated the state from neighboring states that shared borders with Kwara, forces stationed in Kwara State conducted terrible onslaughts.

“So, we are advising improved security measures in health facilities located in thickly forested areas which the kidnappers may target,” a security official stated.
