The Independent National Electoral Commission, or INEC, has been dubbed the most dangerous organisation in Nigeria by afrobeats musician David Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido.
The Edo State gubernatorial race is now underway when Davido made the accusation in a series of postings on his X handle on Saturday.
“The most dangerous institution in Nigeria @inecnigeria,” he wrote.
The Afrobeat musician asked Edo people to be prepared to follow their votes and the results from the voting places all the way to the state collation centre.
Even after making commitments, INEC won’t, in his opinion, send results online.
“We already know that @inecnigeria will not transmit results electronically so everyone should be ready to follow the vote/result from the polling unit up until the state collation centre.
“Winning is one thing. Being declared a winner is another thing! …. From 7pm make una go Dey mount collation center !! #EdoDecide2024.”
