Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Jamie O’Hara has criticized Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund following his performance in United’s 1-0 loss to Wolves on Sunday.
O’Hara expressed doubts about the Denmark international’s ability to meet the standards required at Manchester United, claiming Hojlund’s performance against Wolves was far from impressive.
Hojlund missed several opportunities during the match, with Pablo Sarabia’s second-half free-kick handing the visitors a crucial win at Old Trafford.
Commenting on Hojlund’s display during the game, O’Hara said on Sky Sports: “Hojlund really made a huge mess of it.”
“He is driving through. Mainoo has made a great run. He’s in acres of space. It’s not even a hard pass and Mainoo would have a free shot on goal.
“But Hojlund takes 20 minutes to get it out of his feet and Wolves get back to make a tackle.
“That sums up his Man United career: not good enough, nowhere near good enough. Hojlund does nothing up front on his own.”
Hojlund, who transferred to Manchester United from Atalanta in 2023, has yet to make a significant impact at the Premier League club.
