Female Kidnapper arrested while picking ransom confesses, reveals names of her six husbands (No. 3 was a politician)

Janet Igohia, 31, a suspected female kidnapper who was arrested in Taraba State while attempting to collect a ransom, has admitted to her crimes and disclosed the identities of her five deceased husbands, all of whom were also criminals.

Soldiers from the Nigerian Army’s 93 Battalion, 6 Bridget, took her into custody.

Lieutenant Oni Olubodunde, a spokesman for the Bridget, said that Igohia was taken into custody after receiving N1.5 million as ransom for the kidnapping of a victim in the state’s Takum LGA’s Chanchangi region.

According to Olubodunde, the female kidnapper confessed that she was married to the late Gana Terwase, a well-known criminal in Benue State who, before his death, had stated his desire to hold the office of local government chairman.

Recall that in 2020, the Nigerian Army verified Gana’s death? Continue: In Benue State, he was the most wanted criminal.

During a gunfight with military personnel along the Gbese-Gboko-Makurdi route, Gana was murdered.

Nevertheless, Olubodunde revealed that Igohia had added that she was wed to Voryor Gata, a known criminal previously serving as the late Gana Terwase’s second-in-command.

According to him, the female kidnapper was previously married to well-known criminals like the late Terkibi Gemaga, also known as Mopol, a well-known kidnapper who was killed by forces five years ago. She is currently married to the head of a violent extremist group in southern Taraba.

According to additional SaharaReporters investigations, Igohia was married to two other criminals before she wed the late Gana.

According to Lieutenant Olubodunde, two further suspected gunrunners who were allegedly involved in extrajudicial executions and cattle rustling with N600,000 were also apprehended by the army stationed in the Mararaba Baissa community of Donga LGA.

He revealed the suspects’ identities as Usman Isah, 44, and Alhaji Adamu Damisa, 40.
