Five things you shouldn’t say to your man if you want your relationship to last

Undoubtedly, being honest with one’s partner and not hiding secrets from one another is a sign of love, but there is one exception to this rule. If you genuinely appreciate and adore your relationship, you shouldn’t tell your man the following things.

1. Keep your attractive female friends a secret from your man.

Some girls like boasting to their men about how attractive their female friends are. This gives the guy you’re dating an indirect hint to take a look at them rather than expressing your sincere admiration for their new look.

2. Refrain from telling him how miserable your life was before he entered it.

A guy you’re dating may feel unfavourable towards you if you tell him about how chaotic your life was before you met him.

He could believe you’ll never be able to have children again if you tell him you’ve had multiple abortions before meeting him. Should he be the negative kind, he can start thinking about how he might take advantage of you and make you feel even more lonely and heartbroken.

3. Keep your hate for your ex-girlfriend a secret from him.

Never let your current man know how much you detest him, even if your ex angered you and you still have grievances against him.

Your current man will be scared if you constantly bring up the bad things your ex did to you, and if things don’t work out, he will most likely wind up on your hate list. He might be thinking to himself, “That’s how she’ll tell another guy about me if we break up.”

4. When you’re having fun, keep your praise for your former partner to yourself.

Tell your current man while you’re having fun. It’s a poor idea to brag about your ex since he might assume you’re planning to move on to someone else if he doesn’t live up to your standards. He might think you’re just one of those females who date for fun and want to do the same with him, which is another reason not to inform him.

5. Don’t tell him you are keeping yourself until you are married immediately

The truth is that informing a guy you’re new to dating could make him uncomfortable and make him decline your advances. Telling him you won’t lose it till you get married could make him decide not to stay around.

To earn his respect and confidence in your judgement, get to know him first, become friends with him, and conduct yourself appropriately in his presence. You will be shocked at how accepting he is of you and your decisions.
