A woman named Patricia has told how she married her current spouse after turning down every suitor, but no one can understand why she did so.

She says that she met her husband at a youth session hosted by her church. They started communicating, exchanged contacts, and became close friends. He later expressed his love for her when she asked him to her church one Sunday.

She stated that her mother objected when she informed her what kind of man she wanted to marry. The explanation was that she and her mother had a disagreement because David had special needs. Patricia, however, persisted.

David, her husband, said that he had a nerve condition from birth that interfered with his ability to grow normally. He attended school and enrolled in a sweater knitting course after finishing Form Four.

He clarified that he became interested in Patricia after noticing how kind and hospitable she was. He made the decision to pop the question, and he was overjoyed when she accepted.

His parents were ecstatic when he informed them that he would marry her. They had believed that he would never find a spouse because of his condition.

Patricia’s mother finally blessed her when she and David started praying together. Patricia claims that she turned down every man who wanted her to be with David after their wedding. She went on to say that nobody believes her when she tells them she is married to him.

They currently have a contented life and are fortunate to have three children. Since her husband’s illness prevents him from performing some tasks, Patricia is typically the one who supports the family. He makes a living, though, as a gospel performer whenever he is asked to sing at gatherings or places of worship.

She urges people to never treat others unfairly due to their condition, saying that “disability is not inability.”
