Popular Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele, has revealed why she no longer finds it appealing to attend church services physically.

The actress made this known in a Snapchat video shared on Sunday, explaining that the focus during services often shifts from worship to her presence.

She noted that she frequently becomes the center of attention, with many people taking photos of her instead of concentrating on the service.

As a result, she disclosed that she now prefers to participate in church services online.

Akindele said “Anytime I go to church, I am always the one they take pictures of. So I will join online.”

ZINGTIE recalls that in 2022, Akindele publicly identified with the Celestial Church of Christ.

“Every time I have challenges I go to the Celestial church quietly at night for solutions. But I have to stop hiding and publicly identify with the church”, she said.
