I am still in PDP – Igbokwe reaffirms loyalty to party

Mayor Lucky Igbokwe, a prominent member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Abia State, has denied recent rumors that he might defect and reaffirmed his dedication to the party.

After visiting former Abia State House of Assembly Speaker Chinedum Orji, who just joined the All Progressives Congress, or APC, and Julius Abure, the National Chairman of the Labour Party, Igbokwe made this announcement.

“I am still in PDP. If there are other intentions, I will make it public, but as of now, I am still consulting,” Igbokwe said

However, he stated that he would soon reveal the motivations behind his interactions with other political party leaders.

Some have interpreted the encounters as an indication of a potential defection, which has led to a great deal of conjecture over Igbokwe’s political ambitions.

But for the time being, such rumors have been put to rest by his reaffirmation of allegiance to the PDP.
