Chude Jideonwo, a well-known figure in Nigerian media, has stated that he has never dated a lady who demanded money from him.

The 40-year-old went on to say that his relationships with women have never been motivated by money.

He went on to say that rather than making demands of him, his first girlfriend—a single mother—even helped him out financially.

In a recent interview with TVC News, Jideonwo made the assertions.

“I have never ever dated a woman who ever asked me for money. I have never! In fact, at some point, my first girlfriend who was a single mother and was already making more money than me, was the one assisting me financially instead of demanding from me,” he said.

After a video of the interview went viral on social media, Jideonwo’s disclosure caused a range of responses, with many people questioning his assertions.

His assertion has spurred new discussions about men’s obligations in relationships and courting for financial gain.
